- Camera: To take photos of job sites, completed work, and documentation for your customers
- Photo Library: To select and upload photos from your device for job documentation and customer records
- Calendar: To create and manage job appointments so you can schedule and track your work
- Contacts: To help you quickly add customer information when creating jobs and quotes
- Biometric Authentication (Face ID/Fingerprint): To provide secure and convenient access to your account and business information
You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time. Denying permissions may limit certain features of the Service.
1.3 Business & Operational Data
As you use the Service, we collect and store:
- Client Information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, and SMS opt-in status for your customers
- Job Information: Job descriptions, statuses, dates, locations, and related documentation
- Quotes & Invoices: Pricing details, line items, payment status, and transaction history
- Appointments: Scheduled appointment times, notes, and linked job information
- Expenses: Job-related costs and expense tracking
- Photos & Documents: Images uploaded for job sites and documentation
- Support Tickets & Feedback: Messages, categories, and related data when you contact support
1.4 Payment Information
We use Stripe to process payments. When you:
- Subscribe to Tradenza: We collect your payment method details through Stripe Checkout
- Connect Your Payment Account: We collect Stripe Connect information for receiving payments from your customers
- Process Client Payments: Payment transaction data is stored (amounts, status, timestamps)
We do not directly store your credit card numbers or sensitive payment details. Stripe handles all payment processing in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
1.5 Device & Usage Information
We automatically collect:
- Device type (iOS, Android, Web)
- Device timezone
- Push notification tokens
- App usage patterns and feature interactions
- Error logs and performance metrics
- IP address and general location information

3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing

3.2 Stripe
Purpose: Payment processing and subscription management
Data Shared:
- Your name, email address, and business information
- Payment method details (credit card information handled directly by Stripe)
- Transaction amounts and payment history
- Stripe Connect account information for receiving customer payments

3.3 Twilio
Purpose: SMS messaging to your clients
Data Shared:
- Client phone numbers
- SMS message content (quotes, invoices, appointment reminders)
- SMS opt-in/opt-out status

3.4 Google Gemini AI
Purpose: AI-powered quote generation and analysis
Data Shared:
- Job descriptions and details
- Quote line items and pricing information
- Business context for generating recommendations

3.5 Expo
Purpose: Push notification delivery infrastructure
Data Shared:
- Device push notification tokens
- Notification content (job updates, appointment reminders, payment alerts)

Purpose: Website analytics for our marketing site
Data Collected:
- Page views and navigation patterns

When you send quotes or invoices to your clients:
- Clients can view quotes and invoices through our secure Client Portal
- Clients can make payments through Stripe payment links embedded in invoices
- Client interaction data (views, acceptances, payments) is stored in your account
Important: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Where We Store Your Data
- Firestore Database (Firebase): Primary storage for all user accounts, business data, jobs, clients, quotes, invoices, appointments, notifications, and subscriptions
- Google Cloud Storage: Secure storage for photos, logos, and documents with signed URLs for access control
- Device Storage: Limited data stored locally on your device including cached notifications and user preferences
- Secure Storage: Biometric authentication credentials stored in your device's secure enclave (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore)
4.2 How We Protect Your Data
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
- Encryption: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Authentication: Secure Firebase Authentication with encrypted password storage
- Access Controls: Role-based access controls ensure users can only access their own data
- Secure APIs: All API requests require valid authentication tokens
- Webhook Validation: Signature verification for all incoming webhooks (Stripe, Twilio)
- Monitoring: Continuous monitoring for suspicious activity and security threats

4.3 Data Retention
Active Accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active and you continue using our Service.
Account Deletion: When you delete your account, all your personal information and business data is permanently deleted immediately. This includes:
- User account information
- Business data (jobs, clients, quotes, invoices)
- Photos and documents
- Notifications and settings
Legal Obligations: We may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance, fraud prevention).
Note: While we take extensive measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Rights & Choices
5.1 Account Management
- Access Your Data: You can view and update your account information at any time through the app settings
- Export Your Data: Contact us at mail@tradenza.app to request a copy of your data
- Delete Your Account: You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. All data will be permanently removed immediately.
5.2 Communication Preferences
- Push Notifications: Manage notification preferences in app settings. You can enable/disable job updates, appointment reminders, payment alerts, and system notifications
- SMS Opt-Out: Your clients can opt-out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any message. You can also manage client SMS preferences in the app
- Email Communications: You can unsubscribe from promotional emails (if any) using the unsubscribe link in the email
5.3 Device Permissions
You can manage device permissions (camera, photo library, calendar, contacts, biometric) through your device's settings. Note that denying certain permissions may limit app functionality.
5.4 Cookies & Tracking
You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings and opt-out of Google Analytics tracking. See Section 8 for details.
5.5 Data Correction
If you believe any information we hold about you is inaccurate, you can update it directly in the app or contact us for assistance.
6. Children's Privacy
Tradenza is a business-to-business (B2B) service intended for use by professional contractors and service providers. Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service or provide any information to us.
If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from someone under 18, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we may have information from or about a child under 18, please contact us at mail@tradenza.app.
7. Location & Jurisdiction
Tradenza is based in the United States and our Service is currently offered exclusively to users within the United States. By using our Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
This Privacy Policy and our data practices are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
International Users: We do not currently offer our Service to users outside the United States. If you access our Service from outside the U.S., you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
